David Zagaroli got his start in the furniture business as a young design graduate in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After working with local manufacturers. he accepted an offer to move to the hub of furniture manufacturing in Hickory, North Carolina. There he worked with Drexel Furniture’s in-house design team, then became their head of marketing and development from 1965-1970. In the spring of 1970, he made the transition to freelance furniture design and created Zagaroli and Company. Charlie Zagaroli, Davids son, attended the Savannah College of Art and Design and worked as a product designer for Bernhardt Design before joining the firm in 2002.
Zagaroli and Company provides a valuable creative service to furniture companies nationwide and currently employs a staff with diverse influences and backgrounds. A full-service design and engineering firm, Zagaroli works with companies in many segments of the upholstery and wood case goods business.
